Garo has played music for over thirty years, starting with classical piano and later picking up bass guitar, drums, percussion.
In 1992 he formed Stream, an original jam-fusion trio in Berkeley, California. There he developed his improvisational style of bass playing. He also studied and performed traditional and folkloric drums of West Africa, Cuba, and Haiti at various venues in the Bay Area for over 10 years before returning home to Los Angeles. Favorite musicians include Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius, Bob Marley, and John McLaughlin. In summer 2002 he co-created autoflow. |
