Vaughn's been playing piano for a while, starting with classical while growing up in LA. He continued studying music during his college years in Boston where he also began exploring improvisation... jazz, blues, funk and other forms of free expression. Since then, Vaughn has performed in solo and band capacities while making his way through Boston, Colorado, San Francisco, and full circle to LA.
Influenced by favorites like Miles, Herbie, Medeski, Santana, Bach, Guaraldi and James Brown, he continues to develop his own style of piano. In summer 2002 he co-created autoflow and also performs with LA's Underground Orchestra.
